Coronavirus (COVID-19)

If you are planning on travelling distance to attractions, we would recommend that you contact the venues directly in advance to avoid disappointment.

If you, or any of your party have a new persistant cough, or develop a fever of 38C, we would instead advise you to use the NHS's dedicated website for professional advice.

Dollar Glen

Leading from the historic town of Dollar to the magnificent 15th-century Castle Campbell then on to the Ochil Hills, Dollar Glen is the perfect place for a Scottish countryside walk.
Dollar Glen has been designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest because of its range of wildlife habitats and important geological features. The whole area is a haven for wildlife, and the scenery is spectacular: two evocatively named burns – the Burn of Care and the Burn of Sorrow – rush through deep gorges on either side of the lushly wooded glen, tumbling into waterfalls in places.
There are also spectacular walks from the wooded glen to Castle Campbell. There are some relatively steep climbs but the network of paths provide some enjoyable walks for the whole family.   Sections of the path are uneven, slippery and unfenced with some steep drops, so please be careful and wear suitable footwear.  For their own safety please take care of children and keep dogs under close control.
Due to the condition of the access road we do not advise visitors to drive beyond the woodland ‘quarry’ car park on Castle Road.
